About me

Where Taste Meets Vision and Curiosity

I was born in Valencia, Venezuela, and lived there until I was ten years old. Although introduced to various forms of the arts from a very young age, whether in a detail-oriented school or extracurricular activities, I was fortunate to be born into a family of business people where taking risks was viewed as an opportunity to take on and learn new things.

Upon moving to the United States, I made my studies a priority, achieving milestones such as valedictorian of my middle school and gaining membership in various honor societies at my alma mater, Our Lady of Lourdes Academy. There, I had the chance to explore both my interests in business and the arts, eventually leading me to the realization that I wanted to pursue a career that involved both: Architecture.

Throughout my time in FIU Architecture School, I have fallen more and more in love with the field and become increasingly sensitive to the true responsibility that designers bear. I strive to impact people through spaces that cater to their needs. Regardless of the project I face, I always aim to make a difference in the site's identity while respecting the thoughts of the user. I envision spaces that inspire people, foster connection, and enrich the human experience.

By embracing the life, love, and diversity of the city, architecture becomes a catalyst to make this happen. Recognizing that every great design is the result of a combination of ideas, I am and will always be inspired by the dynamism of urban life. My thoughts and original creations are reflected in my portfolio, which you can download below.

"Brenda was one of the top students in my courses of Comprehensive Design Studio and Integrated Building Systems...It is a highly technical course in which students must face some of the challenges of professional practice and office environments.

Brenda was a great student to have in class, not only for her performance, but for her interest in the topics, attitude, and motivation. Simultaneously, she did a highly complex Design Studio Project in my Comprehensive Design Studio course, where she developed a very thoughtful building with many attributes. Her attitude, confidence, and perseverance to defend her ideas in every pinup or review we had, were remarkable...

Her passion for architecture is demonstrated every semester, all her teachers speak highly of her and her dedication to class. She is dedicated and passionate about architecture and construction. Her determination, cultural background, and academic accomplishments, make her a perfect candidate. She is an outstanding individual, continuing to challenge herself as a student and future architect. I am certain that Brenda will be a successful professional at any job or path she decides to follow."
